Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of Tunacor’s culture.  As a responsible corporation and leader in the Namibian fishing industry, we have over the years ensured that the country’s fish resources are turned into wealth that touches the lives of many Namibians across the country.
Tunacor is committed to perform with the highest standards of partnerships between all its  stakeholders, including government, communities and trusts in order to uplift the socio-economic status of our people and institutions We consider these to be crucial precondition for the desired social and economic transformation of our country.
This includes our focus on developing the necessary infrastructure of the rural areas to accelerate economic growth and job creation with the aim of progressing our marginalised communities out of poverty and into more sustainable livelihoods.

Education is one of the important aspects in the development of any society, therefore Tunacor recognises the critical role that education plays in the transformation of Namibia as it participates and becomes increasingly competitive in the global economy.

Areas of support includes the following:
  • Infrastructure development in marginaliszed communities which we believe will empower these communities to engage in improving education opportunities

  • Supporting community skill development centers with the aim to make technical, vocational education and training strategies more accessible to all.

  • Widen access to higher and tertiary education with special preference to students from rural areas and marginalised groups

  • Supporting Namibian school feeding programs in various regions
